The Roanoke City Council voted unanimously in a special meeting Tuesday night to have the Byron Nelson Bobcats logo painted on the new 1.5 million gallon elevated water tank, located at Fairway Drive. The Bobcats are the mascot for Northwest school district’s second high school currently under construction in Trophy Club and named in memory of golfing legend Byron Nelson, a longtime resident of Roanoke. The school is scheduled to open in time for the 2009-2010 school year.
