Trophy Club Sending 62 Swimmers to State

The Trophy Club swim team sent its largest contingent ever, 150 swimmers, to the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Region IV Championship Meet in Keller on July 12 and 13.

The team won 89 medals and 141 ribbons, and advanced 62 swimmers to the state meet.

Coach Steve Melbourn, who also coaches the Northwest High School swimming team, said, "A real strength for us was our relays this year.We wereable to put nine first place relays together that shoulddo very well at state."
